For everyone
Working draft · July 2026
Gumpany is a community club, and this website is meant to work for everyone in that community. Accessibility is an ongoing effort for us, not a finished checkbox — this page describes what's built in today, what we know still falls short, and how to reach us when something is in your way.
What's built in
Structure. Pages use semantic headings and landmarks, and every page has a skip-to-content link.
Keyboard. The site can be navigated with a keyboard, with visible focus outlines throughout — including the photo gallery viewer.
Images. Images carry text alternatives; purely decorative artwork is hidden from screen readers.
Contrast. Text and background color pairs were checked against the WCAG AA contrast targets during design.
Motion. If your device asks for reduced motion, animations are turned off and all content renders immediately.
Forms. Form fields have visible labels, and errors are announced and explained in plain language.
Known limitations
The highlight video clips don't have captions or transcripts — they are raw clips from the club's archive, and this is noted next to the videos as well.
